Description
Ok. This is ,well, an alternative version of my previous theory I had for Rig. It has some changes:Yes, Rig is Donovan's son. However, Donovan noticed how Rig wasn't actually someone who would have still be loyal to him since he saw the way he was friends with Bass. He knew that he would disobey sooner or later and so he takes advantage by fooling Rig and telling him to stay with Bass and spend some time with him, in order to give him time in trying to create a 'plan' for his works. Rig nods but once he reunites with Bass, everything for him was like in the DOA5 storyline and he even makes new acquaintances and friends. All of this made Rig almost forgetting about what his father is planning. And then, one day...the two best friends, and some others, got suddenly attacked in the streets and this happens.
I took inspiration from the relationship between Starkiller and Darth Vader in Star Wars Force Unleashed. Hope you like it.

To put it shortly, That Donavan simply dumbed Rig on the Oil Rig he owned as a child and never bothered with him until DOA5, So Rig has no real loyalty to Donavan. He's simply going along with because it's all he's got and will eventually betray him

Mine is this:
The Rig we saw at the end (The one who fought Hayate and inprisoned him and then fought 'Real' Kasumi) was not the real one that we saw in the story before. It was a clone. Yeah, I know you might say that he called Donovan his "dad"...but I remember in the previous games when Kasumi's clone was created, that she called Donovan her 'father' because he created her. So...could it be the same thing with Rig? I mean...if Christie paid a visit to him and talking as if she knew him and he said that he doesn't know her...and then she suddenly challenges him to a fight to 'test' him...I'm starting to think that Christie really met him before, but he doesn't... and she probably told Donovan that having a clone of his by their side would be useful and Donovan wanted to first see if he was worthy. That's why he probably sent her to the oil-rig platform to test him.

so I'm not the only one who has that hypothesis about rig. there very well could easily be two of him. it would explain how he suddenly knows people he didn't know in the story and how he's missing information and stuff.
this story seems pretty good actually so far.
I also find it strange that Donovan has a haircut almost the same as Leon,... and Leon is mysteriously missing from the story line.
