Description Does anyone remember or at least heard of the Tenchu franchise? I'll be honest, I didn't actually grow up with this series as a kid but I did play the latest game for the Wii that came out in 2008. Back then, I thought it was fun...however, when I actually took a good look at how the Tenchu games previously were before the last one...now I have to agree that Shadow Assassins (The Wii game) was a total let down, especially in story-tellling. And now since it has been so long ever since this last game...I wonder...will Tenchu ever come back or is it gone forever? I honestly wish it will come back, maybe with a reboot or a better sequel and pretend that the events of Shadow Assassins didn't happen.

All models and scenario belong to their respective owners.

TENCHU! The good ol' times. It was my favorite ninja game of all time!

Oh hell yeah I remember tenchu, and I like the artwork too, though Ayame's left shoulder could use some work. As much as I'd like to try to pretend Shadow Assassins didn't happen, since Tenchu Z and all (and that one I'm not sure if its a sequel, prequel, or simply a story in between WOH and Shadow Assassins, since Rikimaru is wearing his Shozoku from Tenchu 1 and 3, and retains his former rough hairstyle, which isn't cut down and slicked back.). Now that I think about it, the story to Tenchu may still be incomplete, the stopping point of Shadow Assassins, must be a wall that prevents advancement to the story. They might be taking the same route as Kishimoto, when deciding how they were to take down Madara. In this case, how to take down Onikage possessing Ayame. I see 3 routes;
1. Rikimaru kills Ayame and Onikage. (Only to be pointless, since Onikage is fucking Spawn.)
2. Rikimaru knocks Ayame out, and restrains her until a method for spiritual release is found.
3. Rikimaru's dohjutsu in his right eye has the ability to find Onikage and strike Ayame without killing her, and dispelling Onikage.
A reboot is very much appreciated aswell, of any Tenchu game by Takuma Endo.

AllI remember is that it came out right around the same time as Metal Gear Solid but unlike MGS it never took off. I never played it myself. If it were to reboot itself as a stealthier Ninja Gaiden then it could work out well.

Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins was my favourite as I prefer the more simple storytelling than the supernatural stuff that happens later in the franchise

Yeah, that game looked very good.

I also did like Wrath of Heaven, because the story, yes, it wasn't the best one but it still was well made. And I liked the fact that there were more characters and the multiplayer mode.

Shadow Assassins... I don't know about you, but to me it killed the franchise.

Good thing I still have Time of the Assassins which has an extremely open source mission builder, because I still make missions to this day, no not on my PSP anymore, but I use the PPSSPP Emulator on my phone, I've created multiple copies of the ripped iso in my computer. I still don't know if I can port this to PC, with a remaster of enhanced textures, lighting, and animations because I'm scared of what Fromsoftware will do if I release this. That is the best thing about Tenchu Time of the Assassins from what I've mentioned before. I wrote my continuation stories where the Azuma Clan is still active. The story goes, is that Rikimaru's descendant and a separative descendant of Ayame (Rikimaru did not have kids with Ayame on to the contrary of the Azuma code when they weren't allowed to breed with each other, however that has been lifted sometime after World War 2), along with various new characters set from the First World War, Second World War, Cold War to the 21st century. Due to limited content on Tenchu: TOTA, those missions about the continuation stories about WWI, WWII, and the Cold War were never made unfortunately.

That was the WII one and it seemed lacking compared to the others
