Description
Me this Holloween as Cobra Commander.I bought the cape, knife with knife holder, jump suite, faceplate, boots, and gloves.
I modified the helmet from a Darth Vader talking helmet, modified the shirt with foamies.
I made the cape pins, hood, belt and the belt buckle.
The ceptor is really the bar to hang curtains from.
I also added the tassal thing around my arm.

This is one of the cheaper outfits.
I just added some things to it to spruce it up.
I wish I still have the helmet.

It is no problem I do not mind tell. ^-^
Well, the face plate part was in the back of my cars trunk when I was going to a convention and cracked. It is thin plastic covered with a mirror sheen. The sheen is flaking off.
The helmet I was not very pleased with so I went about smoothing it out with some bondo car body filler, and sanding it down. After a few months of working on that on and off I was right ready to paint it. I placed it on a shelf.
CRASH!
It fell and all the work I did shattered
I plan on fixing it the helmet if I can find a new face plate of it. So far I have not had any luck.

That sucks...all that hard work for nothing, such a buzz kill.
But don't worry im shore you will find the necessarily tools to fix the helmet.
I can't tell you how many times I have made something in my art class, when I was a kid,and it ended up braking.....and all the effort I put into all those projects ......it even happened recently to this ceramic mask of a fox,(that looked like a white cat...it was an epic fail but I still loved it),I made.Bad things happen like this time to time though.
But it seems your the type to not give up even when something goes wrong, that's very admirable.

I am sorry your projects in school went splat.
I think it may just be part of being an artist.
When something does go wrong just think of it a a test run. Then try to make it better than it was before.
I will fix that helmet, but at the moment I have far too much hair and it will not fit my head.
So on to other projects.

Well, you would need a handkerchief...honestly, they should have cast you for the movie. Can you do the voice?

I have a friend trying to get into voice acting. I've heard it's difficult. You should come down to Comic-Con in Baltimore in August wearing that costume, and walk around doing the voice I guarantee you'll make it onto You Tube

Thank you! I like characters that have their entire body covered. They could be almost anyone.
That way I can really be the character.

I agree, it's amazing when someone plays them in the movies and the actor, producer, director, costume designer etc...surrender their ego.
ie
Hugo Weaving playing V in V for Vendetta

Thanks! The Cobra clips holding my cape up where made from sculpy. Since I didnt hae much time I just cut them out in the shape of the cobra, and drew in the rest of the detail with a marker. After that I glued baby clips to the back.
Kinda flat but you cant notice from far off or in pictures.
