Description
This was one of those images that started with a group conversation among classmates.Part of the conversation was whether or not a pixie's ability to fly was related to it's wings. I ended up with a pink haired pixie that is missing a wing walking through tall grass.Related content

The original conversation never did settle on whether a pixie's ability to fly was due to magic (well obviously) or the use of their wings. I argued that the pixie's ability to fly is magical, however, the wings provide critical balance and stability. Therefore, a pixie that had lost a wing could fly, but would risk killing themselves due to reduced maneuvering capability. It is also possible with that situation the pixie would once again learn to fly given enough time and practice they could find a way to compensate for the disability.
Needless to say, the presentation to the teacher was amusing, as most groups had more normal examples of people dealing with disabilities rather than a mythical creature.
