One of the most iconic suit in Batman history makes its way into the DC Unlimited. The suit that everyone is fully aware that came with the debut of Bane. This is the Knightfall suit.

In the DC Unlimited, the events of Knightfall play out as we'd expect them to. Bane breaks Batman's back and takes full control of Gotham in the process. Out of desperation, a new Batman takes up the mantle in the form of Jean Paul Valley: Azrael. He becomes increasingly aggressive and forges a new suit to take on Bane. And thus Azrael takes on the mantle of Batman and goes on aggressive streak. What is now added to this suit is how it was forged in the first place

The suit is the prototype suit for the Beyond suit that was used by Bruce Wayne in order to team up with the Teen Titans and fight the Terror Titans. Seeing the purposes of what this suit could have, Bruce thought he should create a new combat exo suit, should he have to cross paths with a brainwashed Superman, or should any powerful being go rogue. After Bruce was broken by Bane, Gotham needed a Batman. Now as anyone who's read the Knightfall storyline, the biggest critique would be that Bruce chose an outsider to take up the mantle, who was incredibly unstable, and you'd think that he would have the common sense to pick his own protégé in Dick Grayson. Well you'd be right. In the DC Unlimited, Bruce did not pick Jean Paul to take up the mantle, instead Jean Paul stole the mantle of Batman leaving out Tim Drake and the rest of the Bat-Family at the time. In this period, Jean Paul was still under the influence of St. Dumas, and was programed to uphold the values of Batman, before the time came for them to enact in their plan. Having uptained the Bat Suits and exo armor tech, Jean Paul formed the Knightfall suit. With this suit, Jean Paul has become a more ruthless version of The Dark Knight, and Gotham was at his mercy
