It was almost cathartic to have seen the evil they wrought upon the cosmos ultimately lay waste and kill anyone who survived. Yet the existence of Trigon still angered him. But what could a spirit of God's Vengeance do? When The Spectre was fused with a human being, it not only gave him permission to roam the earth and punish any soul who would do evil but it also tampered his powers. He could not interfere with massive conflicts. He could not kill those who would probably bring the end to the universe as it is known. He could go after demons like Asmodeus, or even Eclipso. But he could not touch nor go near Trigon. So leave it to his daughter and her friends to only imprison him, until he could find some damned way to escape. The Spectre knows this foley more than he gives himself credit for. With his time in the JSA during the 40s, The emergence of the Silver Age Heroes, including those who've entered the Bronze and Rebirth Age. They've all made the same mistakes, defeat the villain and let the flawed human courts take care of the rest. But what happens to those who were harmed by their actions. Trigon just repeatedly mocks him, by sending demons to harm his realm. But with the deals Trigon has been making with Darkseid to ally himself in The Omega Regime, there's no guaranteeing that The Presence wouldn't allow The Spectre to take action and finally do what so many others would only dream of. In time, Trigon would face his judgement.
