Description As far as the world is concerned, they are being invaded by the Horde, The Justice Heroes were taken out and held prisoner. Including the Justice League, The JSA, and Teen Titans. As Cat-Ra revels in the Justice Heroes, defeat, there is one being that the Horde didn't count on...Spawn. Having "dealt" with a majority of The Horde, Spawn was then met by Cat-Ra and her squadron, nearly trying to kill him, but as we the fan know...well, let's just say Cat-Ra was horrified and retreated. She just saw a demon worse than the Batmen she faced and lost to, and the next time they meet, she knows that Spawn will pass judgement, and anything that dies on Earth is sent straight to Hell.

Any questions

How did they crossed each other's path?

jaredyboy In reply to NeoNimbus526 [2020-03-24 15:07:03 +0000 UTC]

It started with the Horde's invasion on Earth. Shadow Weaver took up command after Hordak's disappearance

How big was the army that Shadow Weaver lead?

jaredyboy In reply to NeoNimbus526 [2020-03-24 19:17:25 +0000 UTC]

Enough to take over the earth. However Shadow Weaver was discovering and studying the Earth's Inhabitants. Even it's religious cultures in how they view angels and devils. She's became aware of Hellspawns

Well she blended in. She also discovered how hell works

How would she know about such a concept, considering that she is from another world.

Simple, by studying Al Simmons and his conversations with Cogliostro

NeoNimbus526 In reply to jaredyboy [2020-03-25 19:18:06 +0000 UTC]

But isn't Cogliostro no longer part of Spawn as a result of a lawsuit?

jaredyboy In reply to NeoNimbus526 [2020-03-25 19:37:01 +0000 UTC]

I did not know that. And if so, I think you're thinking of Angela.

NeoNimbus526 In reply to jaredyboy [2020-03-26 03:11:09 +0000 UTC]

Cogliostro was created by Neil Gaiman and he was also part of the lawsuit, hence why he hasn't appeared in the Spawn comics at all.

After googling it, I'm not sure. All I know is Angela is at Marvel. But I'm just using the HBO lore. Much easier to grasp

Right.

Anyway, Shadow Weaver hears these conversations, and she monitors Spawn. So far, he only saw him dispatch low level scumbags. Also studies showed that he's reclusive. Like a predator. So in her wisdom, Shadow Weaver sent in Cat-Ra and a small squad against Spawn.

As Cat-ra saw them literally get torn apart. Seeing that there are beings who are neither good or evil, but those willing to kill.

Yeah. She's fought the good guy for so long, it never occurred to her that she'd face someone who is monstrous

Unless you count Zordak Prime.

You mean Hordak? Well point. Still it's also my way of commenting on modern media. Whenever I think of modern shows and reboot, my mind goes, what would happen If they encountered Spawn

As you know, there are creators who want to push on agendas on IPs, that isn't necessary. If it's a creator owned show, i can understand, but getting a well known character and beating it with a SJW stick isn't going to be a good idea

NeoNimbus526 In reply to jaredyboy [2020-03-29 16:11:28 +0000 UTC]

I've been aware of such things since the 2010s and I prefer not to talk about that kind of stuff to begin with.

jaredyboy In reply to NeoNimbus526 [2020-03-29 16:22:29 +0000 UTC]

I understand. It's an ugly scene. But with no one addressing this, it'll keep going on. That's in parcel why i created the DC Unlimited, and why you can see crossovers like this, to make the statement: "if you want to promote diversity, then god bless, but never do it at the expense of well known and iconic characters. It's basically DC with No Hold Bard

NeoNimbus526 In reply to jaredyboy [2020-03-29 16:37:36 +0000 UTC]

I think not addressing such things might be for the best. Besides, acknowledging such things will only give attention and not acknowledging it at all is the only way to make it stay obscure.

That's not how it works Neo. Staying silent is what kills creativity. That's what the muck rakers proved.

NeoNimbus526 In reply to jaredyboy [2020-03-29 19:23:49 +0000 UTC]

That's not what I meant.

What I'm trying to say is just ignore it, including those pushing their "agendas" and just focus on storytelling and those who wants a good story to begin with. To me, talking about politics, religions, SJWs, woke or anything controversial and adding them in any storyline is what really kills creativity and THAT is going to be my final answer.
