In life, we face our trials and tribulations, and we all have a hero to motivate as our "spiritual animal" Lucy Loud is no exception, despite her Gothic Life style, she does feel sadness in one way or another. And when she is bullied there is one hero she can turn to, even when Edwin isn't enough, she turns to The Dark Knight himself.....BatmanInspired by the song "Mercy" from the Band Muse, the song used for the trailer for "Batman: Arkham Knight"

To me, Lucy shows emotion because she wants Batman badly.
