Description
This wasn't taken the same day as York Street. This was three days later; the evening after Shitstorm II. The plows had most certifiably been by, but the street's absolutely frozen.Slight tweak to brightness and contrast.

The proof looked a lot better. One of the reasons i scan from my negs and not my proofs (asside from the thumbprint issues we dicussed) is that it's like making a photocopy of a photocopy insteady of copying the original document. You have a lot more control when you scan from the neg.
I do like the image, i just don't think the scan does it justice.

Yeah, I still haven't mastered the art of the necessary tweaks to get my scans looking right... then again, I haven't really tried that hard, either. I'll have to spend some time working on it.

Having a 'wedge' (an image with every tone from black to white in 5% steps) in a different layer while you balance contrast in an image can be really helpful. That way you know when you've got a 'blackest' black or 'whitest' white
