You damn straight that's Billy! Somebody was a-throwin' down at their end of the world party when the zombies came and they decided it was time to break out the "good stuff."
Thanks for checking it out!

They must of been saving it for such an occasion.. I don't think they make that stuff anymore.

Once the zombies attacked, they figured it wasn't worth anything on eBay anymore, so why not pop the tops and enjoy a 30 year old brew? I believe it was introduced in 1977 and discontinued shortly thereafter.
Before Roger Clinton, there was Billy Carter.

Thanks, and I took a look at your stuff. Nice photomanipulations. There are a lot of great photomanipulators here at DA. Some of the things you guys do blows my mind.

This reminds me so much of the covers of the "underground" comics of the 60's. I see this and think, R. Crumb.

I'm a big fan of the E.C. comics style, and while I don't try to emulate their look, it's a big inspiration. I'm not too familiar with R. Crumb, but I'm sure glad I didn't have to take the head trips he did to get my images!

more and more iam liking the "comic" versions of zombies thanks to artists like you and some others.
i have a fondness for the undead myself.love the little details, like the newspaper (although ive seen alot with that type of reference, not a bad thing).love the shattered glass too.
if i had one negative critique it would be the lack of blood, but thats just personal taste.
awesome work.

Thanks, I really appreciate that. Bryan Baugh and Sideshow Monkey do some great toon zombies and they are big influences on me. I think Bryan might be the king of the cartoon zombie!
As for the blood... well this guy hasn't eaten a good meal in a while, see how thin he looks? Most of the blood he's come into contact with is staining his shirt and congealed in his veins. I've never been much of a "blood guy." I'm more about atmosphere and rot.
Really glad you like it, and thanks for both the fav and the watch! Muchas gracias!

Nice work. It must've taken you forever to colour considering all the details. I mean, it'so detailed you can ever read the lettering on the lotto ticket in the lower right corner. Not to mention all the cracks on the windows of the phone booth. Very impressive. The green stains on the end of the pavement are a nice touch.

Thanks! I've been working on this piece off and on for quite a while, so I appreciate you noticing the detail. Unfortunately, having to save it at a low enough resolution to make it web-friendly, I lost the some of the detail in the trash can. In the original you can see the title of the book in there. It's a particular tribute to Day of the Dead.
The green stains were one of those happy accidents. I hadn't planned them, but as I worked the colors, they came out. No street sweepers running after the undead apocalypse I guess.
