this art piece is in prep for a document being written by my brother covering the development of the tactical mech in the 2060 setting.

2060 lore
-while a tactical mech may never be comparable to a tank (in armor and weapons), the very nature of the mech gave it unique advantages in urban combat and dense cover environments.

-a tactical mech, using the proper sensors and programming fined tuned over decades by BoDyn (the current form of boston dynamics), is able to traverse difficult terrain more efficiently then any other ground vehicle. In a city they can traverse rubble and barricades that halt armoured formations in their tracks.

-a 4 meter tacmech can fit in a suprising amount of structures and can force themselves through walls for making new pathways in a combat zone.

-the tall profile of a mech is negated in environments with plentiful vertical cover, and if necessary can crouch and even sometimes go prone to better use cover. And sometimes its height can be used to shoot over plenty of human sized obstacles

-the smallest tactical mechs (around 4 meters tall) can fit in many narrow alleyways (unlike most combat vehicles).

-even the barest minimum armor of the smallest tactical mech can protect against common infantry fire arms. A protection that can protect against 7.62 and up armoured ones can survive 50 caliber. Requiring most infantry to carry light anti tank weapons, which are not very efficient with most being one shot or slow reloading. But even then a tactical mech can often be upgraded with active defences against such weapons.

-war was changing, and urban combat was becoming more common of a battleground, and the tactical mech would be a formidable force multiplier in these settings.
