Wolves, like many animals, are wild creatures that will eat you if hungry enough.

I think wolves are still misunderstood. I hear people say that they are'just wild versions of pet dogs,' 'they never attack people' or even 'they are friendly.' They still have qualities instilled in them which they do not posess, but this time they are noble rather than savage.
Personally, I just wish they could be seen for what they are - wild animals.

Wolves are pretty and all, but...they eat too, and if someone has livestock in the wolves' territory, then they're an easy target.
Although given their size and potential for attacking people, they really aren't that big a deal to worry about. Hell, I'd be more worried about a raccoon with rabies attacking me than a wolf.

That's okay! And I perfectly understand. Like how I compare it to Twilight in my original comment I very much hate Twilight, but I understand that there are what, 200 or more stamps about hating it? And most people hate it for the -wrong- reasons like sparkling when the real issue is misogyny. So I can perfectly understand how someone could be the same way about wolves.

You've heard about Candace Berner at least, right? If not, google her before reading the rest of this.
A radical pro-wolf group posted a journal saying that Candace Berner deserved to die because in her blog, she said she'd hunted a fox and wanted to hunt a wolf. They mentioned something about "this is a sign that we should have mercy" (that's a pretty much exact quote) and said something that pretty much meant "the wolves are psychic and knew she hated them."

You could say most wolf lovers aren't that bad either. They were one of my favorite animals as a kid. How cliche. I'd never ignore one in need if it was within my ability to help it. But that's how I treat -any- animal.
However this war that some animals need more help than others is ridiculous. Some PEOPLE need more help than others, but does that mean they're not all deserving of the help? It all depends on what's within your power.
And holy crap I haven't heard of any of that, that sounds retarded. One could say it's karma, another irony. But either way uh people are allowed to hunt.
