Time for another PULP GIRL...
Updated 12/08/08: Cleaned up the art a bit (it still needs to be reworked to a finished level), added more info.

I've been working all year on a top secret project, a collection of uber cool concepts, with a whole bunch of incredibly kick ass artists bringing them to life, and although things are still developing, San Diego Comic-Con is time to make the project official

So, here's another piece of concept art showcasing one of the book's concepts...

This is the third key concept that drove the creation of the Pulp Girls project, a space girl, inspired by my love for the 1980's Flash Gordon movie, and early 80's sci-fi pulp heroes, Buck Rodgers, Thundarr the Barbarian etc.

I haven't named this girl yet... I tried to think of some clever spin on Flash Gordon, but haven't come up with one yet, we just call her Flashette for now

While her backstory and storyline draw from the Flash Gordon mythos, many genX sci-fi pop culture inspirations help create something much more than that... for instance, her circuit laced suit is a bit Tron, but it has a feature, that I think, is something that's never been done before, that was born from my love of Buck Rodgers robot sidekick Tweaky and Dr Theopolis (hint hint)...

Stay tuned for more info on the project, an official website launch ([link] ), and just who these awesome artists are that I'm collaborating with... most you'll recognize either from the comic shops, my previous efforts, or DA...
(and no, all you guys in the know, we're not green lit to show our artwork just yet, only me )

There will be much, much more to come, but for now, I hope you dig my third PULP GIRL, who resides in... Dimension X!!

This is a print I've done up for SDCC, and there will also be a limited edition preview book (just note me if you're interested and can't make the con)!!
