Hmmm... It just works. There's that edgy sci-fi space suit thing, and the boldness of the butterfly... they work well together against the threatening backdrop. To me the butterfly in the jar also looks like her heart, which makes it more potent. Good stuff.

what an interesting piece! I love how you used the mask to hide her bottom lips making us guess on her emotion and as someone commented below it makes us wonder if shes catching the butterfly or letting it go. the color scheme is absolutely wonderful! I am simply amazed by this piece! well done!

I like how she is intaking... something from a cord that is very umbilical in nature (especially sicne we can't see where it goes.) It looks like her mouth is on the end of it like a baby sucking a bottle, which would make sense if she contains her own innocence. Anyway, nice concept and thoughtful execution!

for some odd reason this reminds me of that Miyazaki movie, Naussica of the Valley of the Wind. that seems really random, even to me.

I'm intrigued by the physical barriers between the 'keeper' and the 'innocence'... temporary hopefully?

Well done Aaron!

I like this one a lot, the enigmatic smile, the questions left unanswered. Did she just let the butterfly loose, or is she waiting to snare it? Is there hope in the midst of it all, or just one more butterfly collector?
Blessings,
Steve
