Description
This piece was part of Subtext's "Meanwhile at the Hall of Justice" show. The theme was super-heros caught doing things that were not so super. I flipped the concept and decided to do a villain doing something not so villainous. Dr. Doom's gentle side.Related content

I was brought here because of a song I picked up on called "Books of War", where the artist used your art piece as the album cover containing that song (you probably already know that) and then found an article that shared your artwork (you probably know that, too). I remember a scene from Mark Millar's run on Fantastic Four where Doom briefly addressed a group of Latverian schoolchildren. Even though the scene itself was a classic example of Doom's megalomania, forcing his people to clap for his return under the threat of death, he seemed almost kind to the children. The way he presented himself to them, he looked paternal. Briefly.
