It's not that I like to brag with having a ridiculously costly wine cellar, sports car or masterpiece of art, no... I often see the beauty in them. Things, as you would imagine, are some times not only expensive because they are neat to have, they have their own quality, their own beauty and ethereal elegance to them. And I'm willing to give up any sum of my money to have that in my possession.

And then you came along! I heard reports of a masterful thief terrorizing neighbourhood after neighbourhood, whether of wealthy or... rather poor financial standing. The person, mostly reported by the media and eyewitnesses as a male intruder, quietly and calmly entered anyone's home, regardless of how, heh, "good" their puny intruder alert systems were, and snuck away with again, anything valuable. It seemed the police was not only able to fail at gathering enough evidence to present a suspect, let alone capture him, but they also grossly lacked the competence to plan beforehand, to protect those households which haven't yet fallen victim to that allusive figure... I took the protection of my house, my stuff, into my own hands...

I recognized what the police or any other so-called "neighbourhood vigilante" failed to see. The solution to this issue wasn't to hunt him down, but to set a trap and take the thief out of the equation entirely... and that's what I planned to do. You must know, the trap I set up wasn't really all too cheap... I still had contacts to the biology faculty of the city's university campus, and for quite a large sum of cash, of which I am not necessarily proud to have given away, they engineered the trap. Dozens of scientists from various backgrounds had to work on that, day and night, and that warranted funding. Enormous funding. However, this... liquid was absolutely perfect for this job. A booby trap for, well, you!

You probably saw how one of my security details "accidentally" switched off the alert system to a back door, right? Guess what, my bodyguards are not only great for protection, but great at acting too! Hehe... you strolled into my living room without any worry or rush probably... and you were overwhelmed by all the things, that belonged to me! Ehm... excuse me... all the expensive items you could steal. Right at the central staircase, you tripped over the infrared laser sensor, and that's when I got you! Oh boy, did that feel glorious...

The liquid, quickly evaporating into a plume of fog, enveloped you and, as expected, you were knocked out unconscious by it.
