Description
I do not own Invader Zim or any of the characters. I am just an insignificant insect that is just a fan. All characters belong to Jhonen Vasquez and nickelodeon.I had done this inspired by a comment from one of my pics "[link] ", by . Therefore, I decided to do a dark DATR, only I find it hard to draw, Dib. I hold the character on a pedestal, and it is hard for me to draw guys. I wish I knew who to ask, for advice. Therefore, I did my best, only to fall short yet again. I guess I need more practice.
This one I call Whispers in the Dark. I got Tak down to pat in a way, though there is room for improvement. The only one I am not happy with is Dib. You might not know this, but I think him too ideal, and I draw flaws better than perfection. I cannot really describe it, but I like the unusual. Dib though is very hard for me, and I still have not found my style yet.
Theme: the memory of Tak, whispering in Dib's dark mind. The erotic and sensual form of her lips to his ear was by accident that I had to keep. Something like the forbidden fruit juices just a taste away... the memory of her touch and the lithe curve of her slender form. It haunts the Noir Dib.
The Evanescence βHauntingβ was playing on my head set.

Wow, this is really cool! And I think the reason Dib's face looks weird is that the sides are curved too softly. With a sharper turn at the jaw-bone, his face would look more masculine.

dib looks fine to me. i have a hard time drawing him too. especially since i try to keep it looking like them. i don't like changeing how people look for real. dib's the hardest person to draw. i'm ok with his hair. it's the jacket and shirt that get's me. his glasses are the easiest thing to make!

I think Dib looks quite smexy. I'm quite jealous of Tak. Well, even though i think your Dib is quite well-done, a suggestion for drawing men is broader shoulders, high cheek bones and slightly higher set eyes. I think Dib's hair simply looks groomed, like when guys put sticky hair gell all over and do the whole odd hair part thing when they go to a dance. And perhaps your glasses ordeal is a matter of roundness of the frames, though I think they're adorable. Oh, and Tak looks very elegant. I think it's a marvelous image. ( Have I brightened spirits any? )

If you need advice on drawing dib, i think you should ask . They're really good at drawin' the big headed one.

I checked it out, and she's got it down to Pat, but I was looking more to a different style. I don't know, I feel like it's such a pain. I try, and I try, and I suck. I might quit.

the hard part of drawing dib for me is his head shape and trenchcoat. What about you? I'm sure that if you were able to figure out why he's so hard to draw, you'd get better at it.

for me it's their head shape, and the hairstyle. I do my best and it seems like it comes out like junk. I just make things too girly! The trenchcoat I got down, but it definitely is the hairstyle and the glasses, I just don't usually draw male cartoons, So this is a real challenge for me. I'll try to keep doing my DATR, but I'm hitting my head against the wall here

Yeah, the coloring is nice. Dib doesn't look too bad. He looks just fine to me. Hey, I can't draw at all, period. Use that talent to its fullest extent.

Tak's really good, and so is Dib...yeah, I know, that little bugger is a pain in the ass, which is why i hate to draw him. I think it's cause of his hair. Membraine has even bigger hair, but he also has a coat covering his face so it's easy. Dib...the uncooperative cartoon character

thank you for understanding. I spent the whole day trying to sketch him. I'm just not good at drawing men or boys. I just wish I knew how to draw really good-looking boys or guys. But most are books tell me how to draw girls in anime or cartoon. I'm going to look into Disney. I like the way they draw their guys. Wish me luck.

This one is gorgeous; perfectly romantic for them. She's coming down out of an elemental starlight, giving comfort to his world of paranoia. And yes, I still believe you did Dib justice, as well as Tak.

I think it looks great! I really like the monochromatic scheme <3 If you're having trouble drawing guys (which I don't see here, because Dib looks fine, just with a new hairdo!), I would look at starting with giving them wider jawlines, though this look is fine for a teenage sorta look. I, personally, think it's quite nice! Great pic ;}

thank you for your kindness, but I'm really not happy with the two character. I don't know who to ask for help from. I tried checking on the site for instructions on how to draw enemy men. But there isn't a lot here. It's mostly for women. I can draw girls, it's just the guys I'm having a problem with

Guys are the hardest, I totally feel you there. I dunno; my advice is to use sharper angles when drawing men; women are made with softer shapes, you know (and you draw very good ladies, 'tis true ;}), and men are more... square? XD I dunno, I'm not the best at drawing them XD Aboshi is really good at them, though; maybe check out her gallery for some composition ideas? There's a link to her in my journal, or you can just type in her SN.
