I do not own Invader Zim or any of the characters. I am just an insignificant insect that is just a fan. All characters belong to Β© Jhonen Vasquez & Nickelodeon.
I did this little thing with Zim & his little group going out once again to test out this "Halloween" thing...
Zim is going as the "Mad Hatter" & Gaz as "Alice" with cute GIR as the "White Rabbit"...
Perhaps this Halloween won't end up as a disaster... though Gaz doubts it.
I know that Gaz is not playing a game but I saw an episode where she was reading instead & I liked how she was into her book which made her seem more in depth than just gaming.
Also it is a great story! I can see Gaz reading the book.
This is done with Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop.

Wow, this is just SO much awesome!Β Β Β I LOVE Gaz's 'Alice' dress-- the design is perfectly suited to her, and I also love that she's reading the book. Β Zim looks quite dashing as the Mad Hatter, and GIR of course is simply adorable as the rabbit ^^ Β The way you've drawn the characters is great. Β I always love anything IZ crossed with Alice, plus it's Halloween themed, so this pic is all kinds of win!

Funny that ZIM is the Hatter and Gaz is Alice, because:
a) Lewis Carroll had a lolita complex towards Alice Liddell, the little real-life girl, for whom the books--and subsequent byproducts--were created.
b) The actors playing the classic Disney interpretations at the theme parks are dating.
c) There was Hatter/Alice subtext in the Burton film, due to reasons a & b, nevermind that in a lot of his films, an almost accepted form of pedophilia is present (ex: ranging from Beetlejuice, to Corpse Bride, to Sleepy Hollow, to the Pirates of the Carribbean saga, et al).
d) ZIM is also several years the senior of Gaz, given the time and age differential between human and Irken years.

This is geat, but I do have one gripe to make [a small one]:
What happened to Zim's head? It seems to have been squashed horizontally, it's all thin. However, that's the only complaint I have about this. Great job!

Aw, GIR is so cute... and I love Zim's costume. Halloween must be fun for him because he can walk around out of disguise and be like, "I'M AN ALIEN FOR HALLOWEEN HA!" and no one will think otherwise.

I love it. I wish I had an outfit just like Gaz's. My friend says that the whole book is an LSD trip, but I love it.

Though substances were around at the time the stories were created--like opium (think Poppies, and when one thinks Poppies, one thinks Oz)--the actual drugs weren't. I.e. the opium was around, but the infamous MGM Poppyfield scene generated from Baum's book wasn't conceived yet, nor were "conventional" drugs like LSD.

Yeah, I love the book. I'm just saying I wish thier wasn't rumors going around that the guy was a drug addict. Some pepole say it has no plot, but I can easily see a plot.
