Description
This is my third entry for 's Fighting League, a just-for-the-fun-of-it tournament that deviantartist's original characters against each other. I colour a lot of comics as a profession but don't get to draw much so I figured it could be good practice!
This is by OC, RGB up against my third allocated opponent 's chara Baxtar.
Baxtar's wearing RGB's hat continuing a theme 's had in his fights, whereby his OC, Bounce, stole her hat and it's passed to various characters from one fight to the next and Baxtar was the last to have it.
Went for a moody look with this one. All linework in Photoshop.

This is great - I was watching 'Dragonslayer' on TV at the weekend and ths has that same kind of grim epic feel... until you see the Dragon is wearing a hat... ah well! lol!

I had to! He was my next opponent! I don't dislike drawing dragons, just most animals! Can't get the hang of 'em.

Indeed... We all have our own way of drawing dragons, some more detailed and others somewhat simplistic... You have a style that I love to bits. ^^

Awesome man, has a real fantasy art feel around it with the shading lineart style. I dont think baxtar has looked scarier than in this pic.

Baxtar can be quite a a vicious lil' bugger and that was what I tried to capture with this one! I intended for this to B&W but it didn't look great so I tried hiding it with shadows... >.>
