The lightning and the colors are awesome.
He has some arrows in his quiver which seem to oppose gravity, and he have lost his bow. :/

wooooaaow... ermm that about sums it up... the colours on this is fantastic... but you probably heard this from many DAers here.. so I will just be repeating them when I say.. that this picture is awesome.. Is the guy single..
someone mentioned the blade is too thick.. not really... a spear can be any thickness.. I train with spears in ninjutsu and the length.. size.. even width of a spear doesn't matter...
I hope you don't mind me commenting on the horse... you can slap me if I offend you... but.. the horses neck and face seem a little off to me.. when a horses neck curves like that.. his/her jugular becomes more prominant.. (the line on the neck just underneath the cheek.) don't get me wrong.. the horse is beautiful.. and I couldn't colour like that if my life depended on it.. well.. yeah..

Very nice work! I'm glad you chose to give him a polearm rather than a sword, it definately works better than a sword would on horseback

I think some darker hues on the hero's cloth and armor would enhance the picture. It seems a little to hazy to me. You obviously have way more skill then me but I still wish to offer my opinion
But you definitely got the hero look. Stern, steadfast, brave. It makes me think all of that, as well as honorable. Yes a perfect example of a hero
