I like brushes more than microns or rapidograph; i'm sure with Dip pen could be more easy to make shades-lines, you can control it better.
What's the color? only watercolors, or water+black ink, or both?

Brushes and ink are SOOOOO much better than microns!!

is that just becuase you cant do fills with microns? but if your using a brush isnt it a little harder to make short strait lines? maybe its just me that has trouble with things like that

ItΒ΄s just practice... You can use both microns, pens and brushes in your work... fills can be done if you scan it!
Anyway, I can do really thin lines even with a brush, Depends on how you work with it.
There's a nice book about inking by Gary Martin, I strongly recommend!

I have Vol.I, which is awesome, and now you made me curious about this second!
