The third piece brings an awareness to bisexuality, which strangely is still very misunderstood even in the LGBT community, which mystifies me greatly. Bisexuals are often looked at as unfaithful as a whole in and outside of the community, and then unloyal to the LGBT community due to the potential of being in a "normal" relationship.

Bisexuality is not indicative of relationship loyalty factors any more than a hetero or a homo-centric relationship, but the stigma is based on the insecurities of one's own mind. Like any relationship, trust is paramount.

I've chosen Avalon specifically for this, even though he is listed as sexually fluid. Sexual fluidity is not the same as bisexuality as it has the potential beyond simple attraction to both sexes--it can shift to pansexuality, asexuality and so on. However, Avalon is not only an avid supporter of the LGBT community but shares a kinship with bisexual individuals as he feels his own sexuality is just as misunderstood.

When putting this together, I was heavily influenced by a photo of Dan Reynolds, the lead singer of Imagine Dragons, where he is draping a pride flag around his shoulders, and admittedly, I used it as a reference so I could capture the way the flag draped over him. Dan Reynolds is one of the strongest voices in the music industry for LGBT rights, and is perhaps a model straight ally, both as a straight married man but also as a Mormon. I remember reading about him being heartbroken hearing about an LGBT-fan believing that Dan would not like him because he was LGBT, and Dan was heartbroken as the self-dejection. As a result, he doubled down on his support for the LGBT community, even risking the alienation of fans. That's a true ally.

There will be one more entry into the Pride Celebration line for this year, and I have another celebration starting in July. I hope you enjoyed Pride Month so far, and I hope you are all safe, but also stay active in fighting for the rights of all of us!
