The big Black Vader head that presides over the big Star Wars montage. Have I got a better idea? -Nope. So, it's not exactly an original idea, but neither is a round wheel. It just works better than anything else.As Iain McCaig pointed out, Vader is the best villain design ever. \ It's a black skull wearing a nazi helmet. You can't beat it.
My friend, french artist Stephane Roux says he grew up with a french dubbed version of the trilogy. No James Earl Jones, just some alto-ranged french guy..'Luooke, I yam yoor Fah-thair'.

Dark Vador, yes... And Han Solo is Yan Solo... The french guys who translated the names were psychopathes! lol
There are a lot of mistakes in A New Hope, as: Chewbacca named "Chico"... Or the Millenium Falcon, named the millenium Condor...
And in the Empire strikes back we have Jabba "le Forestier"... We could translate that by Jabba the woodman...

I can picture Vader speaking german even Japanese..
BTW, I am not teasing any language but the language can change the character -with interesting, even humorous results.

In fact the voice has a deep impact on a character. In A New Hope, in French, Darth Vader has a strange voice, very nasal ( in my point of view)and it makes him funny, not very scary as he should be. Like a caricature of an evil guy. Then for the next movies they change the man who speaks. As for Luke, his voice makes him very childish in french. Even if I don't like french version, I must admit that there are some good moments in french, with scenes that are funnier in french than in English.
But nothing compares to the real voice of Lord Vader!!
Oh! and C-3PO is named Z-6PO or 6PO... In each movie his name change...
I think Obi Wan talking in Russian must be very funny, I picture him with a deep voice, like in japanese movies, they all have strong voices. ahah!

Yeah the ultimate bad guy!!! Perfectly done, as always... I'm sure he'll look great on top of the piece.
And if memory serves, the french voice wasn't all that bad. Surely wasn't as great as the original but they never are.

Smooth gradients complimented by exaggerated contrasts are the hallmarks of rendering a mirrored surface. I'm always on the look out for object and figures, chrome, gold, mirrored jet black, to study. See how it's environment is reflected and concentrated. It's challenging, but fun.
