In one universe, she missed summer camp due to having a cold. She was the Missing Eighth Chosen Child, and that she was chosen last in time for Myotismon to invade the human world. From there, she became partners with one of his minions, an amnesiac Gatomon. The catlike Digimon regained her memories in time for Kari's status to be confirmed. One of the best human-Digimon friendships ever.

At least that's what happened in this universe.

In another, Kari never missed summer camp due to not having a cold. Like her big brother Tai and the other kids, she was transported into the Digital World.

What happens there next will be up to you. I mean, about her and Gatomon... how will things between them go from there? Will their first meeting be good for them to become immediate partners when the latter was never Myotismon's minion? Or will she still be that person and be saved by Kari, but she won't be her partner?

Like I said, it's up to you to decide what happens in this AU.
