Description
This was a concept I did for my friends Photography Site. You can visit the existing site at [link] and her blog at [link] . I changed the blue color on the site to be pink (we needed to match the business cards already printed), made a nice little Loading animated GIF and a few other things as well.Check it out and let me know what you think of it.

Excellent! The site is tidy and stylish but does not detract from the content - the photography - which you are showcasing. Your friend is very lucky!

Thanks...yeah i really liked this one as well and so did Shyla. She liked the photo corners on the other site but felt they were to distracting when looking at the portfolios.

I like it, its good as it is. Gradient backgrounds makes a huge difference to websites, so leave that there, and centering things can look tacky. So just keep the thumbnails to the left. It will stay looking better as it is.

Thank you that was my thought as well. I felt the staggered looked kept the feel consistant no matter how many images she has in each portfolio section.
I talked with her the other day and I am actually going to make some changes to the image. I have to change the blue to pink to match her business card and tweek the navigation a bit.

I think it looks great. I actually quite like the gradient because, as you said, it adds more depth to it. One thing I would change is the thumbnail images, I think they would look better centered underneath the large image

First off I am so glad that i am finaly getting some feed back from everyone at DC. That said thank you for your comment.
I did not center the thumbnails because I am trying to imagine what the site would look like when she actually uses it. She will be uploading the images herself using a back end admin page. I know that she will never have a perfect number of images which would make it look good centered. She could have anywhere from 1 to 5 to 150 images in each section. That is completely up to her. I just wanted something that looked good when it wasnt perfect. This is why i gave it the left justified staggered look.
I am glad you agree with me about the gradiant.

Looking really nice!
But imo you should not use a gradient background, use a singelcolorbackground instead.

why do you think a single color background would be better? I feel that that gradiant gives some depth to a rather simple layout. I would love improve this layout so any further explanation would be awesome. Thanks for taking time to look at my work and most of all for the comment.
