To give you a better understanding of how that scene happened, this is how it started:

Before the Full Bucket Line had been shut down due to negligence, Evan Tenorman remained the strongest engine pulling freight in a very bad-mannered way. Even when the steel foundry had been producing more than enough steel than usual, supply has always been increasing more than the demand.

So the manager thought it would be better to build another steam locomotive than to wait for another train schedule to deliver. So the builders did, and in less than a week, a new steam locomotive is born, Colossus Prime. And his best feat is pulling freight in a very good-mannered way. But this only made Evan Tenorman very jealous.

By the time Colossus' trials are halfway done, there was a large mess at the yard. And Colossus became very cross at the sight of Evan derailing all freight cars on purpose. He wanted to settle it down, Titan to Titan. And a tug of war is soon ensued, but when Evan has had his strength tired out, as I said, he crashed into a tanker train full of cream for a newly-built multi-million dollar supreme bakery.

What happens next, you can probably guess it.

Shortly after the line had been shut down, Evan Tenorman had been sent to the scrapyard for his crimes of ill-mannered chaos throughout the Full Bucket Line railway. But only Colossus had been safely sent to the Union Pacific after his request of having his tender switched with Evan's.
