Interesting, and if the two objects were on level playing fields and were of the same material shape, I'd have to agree. However, these two objects are not on the same planeΒ and are of two different material shapes (a metallic base and a plastic raised button). I'd liken it to simply having a ball on top of a table. Conversely, if you had a picture frame and a matte border then having their corners be respectively scaled to show proper balance would be appropriate. Don't get me wrong... this is an excellent suggestion, just in this implication the corner radius of the inner shape is larger than the outer shape because it focuses on being a raised button.Β
