Ike warming up (or just finishing) his awesome attack: Great Aether. Ike is BOSS in Super Smash Brawl. That sword n moves. Hnnnng.
I like choosing him more over Link sometimes *hides*.
I think at this point I'm just drawing Fire Emblem characters, but we'll see how far I go x) I'm studying a bit of photography, so it helps to strengthen my knowledge a bit more on depth, focus and movement - which I've done here.

Ike is my main. I am SO glad that he's been confirmed for Smash 4.

As for this image, this is beautiful. The quality of the image makes it look like something out of a tech demo for the system AFTER the system after the Wii U.

Aggghhhh I am really loving everything about this. Also you are making me want to play Smash Bros. something fierce.

The golden light that is just.... shot through the frame is just glorious. Really adds to the heat of the moment. It feels tempestuous!Β  But I love how the focus pulls into his eyes.... like the calm in the storm.Β  Everything else is so blustery, so wind-torn, but there's this incredible steeling just there in the middle.

Oh my gosh.Β  So boss.Β

I really like this picture, but I think the foreshortening on Ike's sword looks a bit odd. if you ever go back to this, I'd push it off the edge of the image and make the handle a bit bigger.

Your skill is definitely something to admire, everything is amazing about this drawing, but I have 2 points that would make this drawing perfect, first Ike's hair is more spiky and he doesn't have over the sideburns, secondly the sword perspective is really hard to make you need to make the Β tip a lot bigger that it will cover part of the blade and the hilt bigger compared to his hand and the, to be honest what I'm seeing is a small sword...take it as a constructive criticism, your talent is huge and I want all the best for you.

Amazing! I'm a huge fire emblem fan, Ike has got to be one of my all time favorites along with Soren! This is a beautiful painting and really does his character justice as well as his move! I love this attack. Killing obnoxious CPUs (which, admittedly, is over half the bloody roster) is ever so satisfying when Great Aether is unleashed upon them. Absolutely beautiful artwork too, it's very hard to find the words to do it justice.

It's rather hard to choose one, as I like the Triforce Slash just as much. Quite a few I dislike, but I would ultimately agree that this is such an awesome attack (plus, I got a great snapshot of Ike kicking Captain Falcon in the groin using this move).

I've never played Fire Emblem before, but I am familiar with the characters as they are in Smash Bros: Brawl. Well done! (I especially love his tunic and his ethereal eyes)

Fire Emblem is well... it's not really a game for everyone. I do have some troubles playing the game (to the point where I've never actually finished the games ). If you enjoy chess then I think the games are for you!

Not bad. Definitely a hard shot to pull off. I think your choice of colours could be more dark yet still colourful: more like your painting of Marth. I think it might just be the background that could be darker, specifically the dark pillars in the background which add rhythm. But those are really small things.

Another thing I'd like to point out is that his facial features could of been a bit better.

Overall still pretty good. Certainly caught my attention!. keep it up

This is awesome! I love how you captured the movement and depth in the drawing, I guess studying the photography helped. A few questions though, how did you manage to create that sexy, flowing mound of hair? And also, how did you do the textures on the clothing? Did you just paint with normal brushes first then add texture, or did you paint the clothing with textured brushes all the way? Thanks for sharing your work ^^ Can't wait to see the which lord you'll draw next!

The hair was created as large, dark clumps which I then kept drawing over the top of it with lighter, smaller lines. I think one of these days I might make a tutorial on how I create specific things digitally (if I get the time!)Β 

The clothes were drawn with basic, round brushes which I then painted over them with texture on an overlay layer. It makes the process faster and more accurate that way

I love it! You did a great job with the clothes wish i could get mine to look that good.

I don't want to be that guy (which means im going to be) but the perspective on the sword seems awkward. Like its really short. I totally get what is happening in the pic, its just the angle made the sword look off.Β  Not sure how you would fix it though. sorry!

That's okay! I really appreciate the feedback! I do have to be honest that the sword was quite... difficult to draw (especially in that angle ) It's still something that I need to practice more on.
