I personally think the color is awesome very rich and cozy darkish purple

and it might be a quick doodle for you but holy crap the details ! the dragon's hand is totally awesome - so articulated and realistic - I could almost see it move ! love the mix of feathers and dragony details - very original and not copied from this or that typical genre of dragon art

Awesome! The dragon is gorgeous--and so cool. The concept is adorable, boy playing with an immense dragon--kinda reminds me of an old movie, 'ete's Dragon' lol

Love the pic, it's amazing. You did such a fantastic job with the pen. I hope to see more in the future. And it would be awesome if you opened these up to commissions

Kinda both. I had an image of a dragon in my mind and couldn't stop once I started drawing him. o_O It slowly progressed into this as I moved along.
