I liked Vaati as a vilain, even better, since it took a break from ganon(dorf)
Although after the more than medeocre background story he got, I kinda wished there was more to him

You know Ganon had only been in about 5 to 7 of the 12 Zelda games out at the time of Minish Cap's release right? Depends on how you count the Oracle games (as 2 or 1), and in those he wasn't actually the villain, it was Twinrova who was the villain, trying to resurrect him. There is a reason Ganon's featured prominently; because he's the Demon King and evil incarnate. But he's not featured as frequently as some try to make out.
Vaati's backstory was pretty simple, which is normal for Nintendo games. When he was resurrected between Minish Cap and Four Swords though, the Demon Lord had lost all memory of his Minish life.

so, in Skyward Sword he gets 'born' as the curse from the demon lord
Ocarina of Time is his first appearance (and his subsequent primal defeat)
Then from OOC there stems at first Oracle of A/S, Link to the Past and Twilight Princess (I think those are one timeline)
Then there's the fancy games I never played, where link's pretty young and Big G is all cartoony (like windwaker and stuff)
And then there's eehm.. the original zelda, I'm sure what timeline that fits in as it's ganon in the 'real world'
so yea, thats 5 games, I'm pretty sure I missed one or two (or at least I feel like I do)
And even though it fails, since Oracle of A/S is an attempt at reviving big G, I do consider it a game about him.Β
And again, true, most secondary villains have no background at all. But then again, secondary villains appear a lot in the more cartoony games, so I guess don't miss them much.Β

Yeah, I checked, there wasn't any Zant there. He's an iffy character for me; I hate him because he's mean and beats up on Link all the time, but he really amuses me with his temper tantrums.

I've always like this version because you really can't see well, so the design is up for open interpretation. I love your version! It's unique, but it still fits very well! ^_^
