ah i see I have to say it frustrates me too many times. well, not actual religion, but the way people treat it. So many people think that religion is the way to heaven and that you have to do all these "holy chores" to rack up points with God so he'll let you into heaven. it's such a warped idea

If religion is the way to 'heaven', and there is only one heaven, then everybody that isn't part of that religion isnt going to go there. Pretty screwed up idea.

well, getting to heaven doesn't have anything to do with religion actually. Jesus says in the bible "I am the Way the Truth and the Life. No one gets to the father except through me" which means you must accept Jesus's sacrifice on the cross for your sins and ask for forgiveness. Then after that, build up a relationship with God (yes it sounds strange, but its extremely real). that's the only way to heaven. period. If christianity seems narrow with the whole going to heaven idea, that's because it is! Even God says in the bible "for narrow is the gate that leads to life and few find it, but wide is the road that leads to destruction"

If you think about it, truth can't be open minded. I mean, seriously, think about math. 2+2= 4 is a fact right? wouldn't it be strange if your math teacher told you one day "well, I believe 2+2=4, but 2+2=5 is also right if it's what YOU believe." That would be a really horrible math teacher wouldn't it? Why should the way to heaven be any different than math? You never hear any one complaining about how narrow minded math is with all it's rules and such, so why does everyone get so riled up about the one true way to heaven? Since the fact of going to heaven or hell and spending eternity in one of those places is such a serious deal, don't you want exact instructions on how to get to the better place rather than you-know-where instead of trying vaguely to figure out how to get there by how YOU believe amongst others and never being completely sure if you'll really go there or not?

Really think about this, okay? Give God a chance to help you and change your life, He's anxiously waiting for that moment when you do let him.
