with this shot by itself i find it rather sinister and dark, and yet with the whole advert it sheds a new light and somehow becomes powerful and distinct, and yet i think i said the origional had a rather 60's feel, its interesting how simple changes can affect the feel of a single photo

I see what you mean, sometimes it's strange, how portraits get different, when lighting and contrast become different, the whole expression on the face becomes something else!
