Your not the only one, I would love it if people could save Chara, Asriel, and Dr. Wingding Gaster. I'd think that at certain points in the updated game it'll be easy to save them since you'll have everything that you need. I also think that you be able to friendship level up in the pacifist mode, but just to a lesser extend than if you were to take the genocide route. There'd be more saving power Frisk has with characters like Asriel too (not to mention that it'll be easier to befriend monsters too) . If Toby ( or anybody he trusts, and tells to add difficulty levels in the game) doesn't add difficulty modes in the game, then it'll be so much easier for folks to beat harder bosses without dying so much.
