Like I said I am a fan of yours, I wasn't trying to attack you, I personally believe she's a little to much like amy or cream. I felt I'd do a disservice to you if I didn't give you honest feedback.

first, don't call me a dumb ass, I didn't say anything offensive, second, no artist should only recieve positive feedback, without negitive feedback, no one grows in their talents. Yes i read it. I always read descriptions, but to me it's a huge cop out for someone to ask a question then say to only give positive feedback. I'm sorry, but that's not how it works. You ask a question, you get an honest answer. That's how the world works, and how it will always work.

first, he said it was a test. and this wasn't a test of "was this drawn well?". it was if she was appealing. second, a artist can request what they want since it's their picture. you can't follow a simple instruction? then you aren't fit to do what anyone says of you. works in the real world alot. ain't it a bitch? :3

for the record, Yes it is their picture, however an artist who can't handle negetive feed back isn't fit to be an artist, and for the record, I have 3 other deviants on here who read what I posted and agreed 100% with me, someone who asks a question and only wants to hear positive feedback, who won't even ask why someone doesn't like it, isn't an artist. an artist asks why someone doesn't like a piece they made, not shut those who don't like it out completely. Someone who can't take a little criticizm, doesn't belong here.

Whoa now, let's all just calm down shall we? I can see where you are coming from wanting to protect your friend, but I can also see where is coming from by simply stating about the question presented. Although, his answer may be biased since he does not prefer women, however, it stands to reason that he commented based on the picture. He answered the picture's question "Do you like me?" Whether his answer is biased or not is easily dismissed. Could he have simply moved on? Yes, he very well could've.
As for artistic abilites, his story writing, although not done in a year or so, is actually good. I have rollplayed with him on many an occasion and he's very talented in his writing abilities. True, that this may not be credible coming from me as I am only one person among the plethora of DA's thousands, and I have been trying to get him to write again, however difficult it may be, the point is, the later of your statement is distasteful to attack his artistic abilities. Hopefully this reaches you in a well meant term.

and while i agree with you, he missed his mark.
1. nowhere did it say about how it was drawn. he seems to think thats what it means. the girl in the pic is asking if they like her based on her personality as the link to her first pic is shown with a bit of her bio. its not asking "was i drawn well?"
2. i don't care what his sexual orientation is. if he doesn't like women, then he could have simply ignored it. simple as that. it be no different if a group of chirstians called him a faggot for being gay and bashed him for it just cause of that one quality vs all his other qualities.
and yes, what i said was distasteful. so were his remarks. if he doesn't like his logic being turned back on him, he should keep his mouth shut. cause unfortunately, he is not immune to it. no one is. once you say something that makes it state to everyone, everyone includes himself. and again, a artist does what they want. you want to critize? be constructive. not a "point blank" remark that you think will fit with people. and if you don't understand what is being stated, the easiest thing is to just ask. it hasn't killed anyone yet.

look. I wasn't trying to attack him. I'm a fan of his, so as his fan I gave him honest feedback. I'm aware he asked for only positive feedback, but I feel that it would do a disservice to the artist to not give honest feedback. I expected him to do what most artists do, and that's to ask why I didn't like it? I'd then say my peace, and then leave it be. That's what he's done in the past.
