I understand the shadows are on a multiply layer but how did you get such a smooth gradient, it almost looks like a 3D model. I have already seen a couple comments like this but still, I would love to see a video tut. Great job.

Do you do your flats and shadows separately and then just overlay the shadow? What's your process there?

yeah shadows are done in multiply mode on a layer above the flats colors
