Sherlock Hound, did it this past week for @ Sketch_Dailies, try to guess the topic xD
You can imagine the tsunami of artwork featuring Benedict Cumbebacth as Sherlock. I really like the current tv Show, but not as much as the old cartoon

It really just needs an HD remastering, the show is pretty perfect the way it is, Miyazaki made sure of that.

He only worked on the first six episodes before his studio got in trouble with the Doyle estate though. That's why the visuals changed starting with the seventh episode.
As for the show itself, the story could use a little more meat to it. The episodes' content worked for the 80s, but today it would appear pretty shallow and too straightforward for most viewers. Not to mention, Moriarty was always the cause of every "mystery" going on, so I imagine they could try to make it more complex and interesting.Β

The style was consistent throughout even after he left (barring the fact that one of Moriarty's henchmen went from green to brown). It's a repetitive show and the episodic nature can get old, but stylistically it had a wonderful visual appeal.

No, the style changed somewhat after the sixth episode. There wasn't as much detail with the character designs. This has been the general consensus since it was first watched on television.Β

If anything changed it was the story quality with the episodes. The character models didn't change at all, a slight decrease in detail level is negligible and there was still heavy use of Miyazaki like flying machines.

The story quality was essentially the same. All the episodes were based on settings and elements taken from actual Sherlock Holmes cases. The character models, on the other hand, became simpler in looks.Β

Fantastic drawing, really like the slightly "blocky" style you used .. it also brings back so many sweet memories .. really loved this cartoon series ... the openingΒ of the show also was very catchy and very well animated.
