Description Hello there!

This one is for

[NOTE: GDH stands for Gabby's Dollhouse]

She wanted me to do a movie title card for the show "Gabby's Dollhouse"

This is the title card for the Gabby's Dollhouse Movie 2: Unleash the Power of Music

Note: The music note sprites used on the underground decoration reassemble crystals.

The crystal, musical note-shaped structures in the cave amplifies DJ Catnip's Perfect Groove powers

Link for the RP: Gabby's Dollhouse The Movie 2 RP

Since the DVD of the movie came when the trailer of the 4th season came out, before the movie begins, the trailer of the fourth season plays

To promote the movie, Eduardo Franco published the live action music video of The Music in You, the video was titled "Eduardo Franco - The Music in You (from Gabby's Dollhouse)"

In Japan, to promote the movie, Kazuhiro Sunseki sang "GO! TAKE FLIGHT!" alongside KEYTALK in a live show

The Japanese trailer includes a song called "Gurūbu no chikara" (the Power of Groove) sung to the tune of "Electricity" from the movie "Detective Pikachu"

The TV version of the movie was a sing-along version.

Sypnosis: When his friends are in danger, it's time for DJ Catnip to put his groove to the test. Follow him in this musical adventure as he goes on a journey to save his friends by showing the true power of music!!!

This is the first non-Precure movie to use Miracle Lights, it actually introduces a similar device, the "Cat-Tastic Lights"

One of the times Cat-Tastic Groove Light is used is when his friends send their groove to DJ Catnip to give his Perfect Groove form a boost of power.

CatRat was reluctant to send his groove.

This episode takes place after the episode "DJ Catnip's Royal Dilemma" where is revealed that DJ Catnip belongs to royalty, and that he was born on the musical kingdom of Melodia (but his dad, King Eita, had DJ's memories of Melodia erased when they moved to Kittywood, so that DJ would be convinced he had a normal childhood), because in the scene where DJ Catnip has a vision of his mom telling a younger version of himself about Perfect Groove, is shown that he still is recovering his memories of Melodia, and this memories come as sudden flashbacks, and that vision was one of those flashbacks.

The main villain on this movie "Wizard Sour Note" disguised himself as DJ Catnip to kidnap the Gabby Cats

Party Tabitha and MerCat were the first ones to get caught

One of the stuff Wizard Sour Note does to anger DJ Catnip was bringing up his Heartbreak form

When DJ Catnip found out his friends were kidnapped, he became so mad, applying the Fury status effect, he briefly shifted to his anger form (bright red hot-to-the-touch fur, the color of the rings becoming overly saturated, red eyes with slitted pupils, and claws on his paws) but he quickly calmed down, saying "No, Catnip, is not the time for anger, you have to save your friends.

In addition to kidnapping Gabby and the Gabby Cats, Wizard Sour Note also brainwashed DJ Comet into attacking his cousin, but the healing powers from DJ Catnip's Perfect Groove form were enough to break the trance.

During his trip to save his friends he hesitates till a vision of Gabby helps him continue the trip, during that time he sings a song sung to the tune of "I'm Gonna Be The Duke" from the The Loud House movie, the song is called "'Cuz My Friends Count on Me"

Whenever DJ Catnip brings up that he must put his groove to the test to save his friends, bells toll to the tune of "The Music in You", making it the second time bells are heard tolling to the tune of The Music in You, the first time being in Season 3-2: A Knight's Tail

This movie is the first time in the franchise that a song has two reprises in the same media as the movie has two reprises of "The Music in You" because near the end of the movie, a version of The Music in You called "The Music in You (All Together Now version)" is sung by the Gabby Cats

This movie takes place after the events of Season 4-4: Fluffy Flufferton, thus, she makes her first movie appearance.

After the events of the movie, DJ Catnip tends to train the powers he gained upon unlocking and awakening his Perfect Groove form.

Near the end of the movie, to thanks him for saving her, Fluffy Flufferton invites DJ Catnip to sing a mash up of "That's How Fluffy Does It" and "The Music in You"

One of the shorts is the musical video of The Music In You by Eduardo Franco

The reason the musical number DJ's Lament began was because DJ Catnip believe his groove was the reason Wizard Sour Note found them and kidnapped his friends, making him believe his groove and his love for music only makes things worse, to the point he nearly quits music (while ironically singing a song about nearly quitting music and finding a new thing to do), and it's only at the end of the song that DJ Catnip realizes his groove and love for music does makes things better after seeing pictures of memories of all the times his groove save the day, and of all the times where his groove made everyone have a Cat-Tastic time!

In the "Behind the scenes" video of this movie, Eduardo Franco himself made a music pun when revealed that the movie was originally going to end in a cliffhanger, saying "I didn't want the movie to end in a clef-hanger." Near the end of the movie, DJ Catnip and MerCat sing a mashup of "The Music in You" and "Spa Science" called "Musical Spa Science Mix"

When the movie premiered in cinemas, it included a meet-and-greet with Eduardo Franco

In the Latin American dub of the movie, the remix of Dance Like a Gabby Cat in the credits was replaced by a song called "El Vuelo Alzar" by Piso 21 ft. Joey Montana and Lali, the song is about DJ Catnip's Perfect Groove form.

In the Japanese dub of the movie, the Dance Like a Gabby Cat remix in the credits is once again replaced, this time by a song sung by DJ Catnip's Japanese voice actor, Kazuhiro Sunseki, the song is called "GO! TAKE FLIGHT!" and is sung to the tune of Dragon Ball Super's ending song "Starring Star", the song makes a reference to the wings DJ Catnip earns in his Perfect Groove Form, which allows him to fly without having to use his "Heli-Catnip" technique (Rotating his legs like helicopter blades to propel him in the air)

The only dubs to dub the Japanese ending "GO! TAKE FLIGHT!" to their languages are the Spanish Spain dub, the Brazilian Portuguese dub, the French dub and the Korean dub.

The Latin Spanish ending "El Vuelo Alzar" is sung to the tune of Lali's song "Histeria"

The music heard during the start of the movie, when DJ Catnip wakes up and starts his day, is the instrumental of the Netflix JR Jams song "Good, Good Day"

The first half of the movie reveals that when DJ Catnip feels too nervous or scared, his groove is momentarily blocked

The intro of this song is a Movie Remix of The Music in You, while the ending song is the Remix of Dance Like a Gabby Cat featuring Keeley Bumford, and the movie's climax and final battle scenes are loaded with music puns, mostly by DJ Catnip, and the scene previous to the intro is a story narrated by DJ Catnip about how his family gained the surname "Catnip."

This movie gives answer to the question "Why are DJ Catnip's legs and tail elastic and seemingly boneless", revealing that an elasticity elixir is the reason for his elasticity.

The means by which DJ Catnip's father erased DJ's memories of Melodia was by using a laser pointer-like devise to wipe his memory while he's sleeping and move to Kittywood before he wakes up.

The remix of The Music in You used for the opening of the movie is a rock remix.

A remix/remaster version of DJ Catnip's Perfect Groove's Transformation theme plays in whenever DJ Catnip is going To transform into his Perfect Groove form in the series.

Despite the fact that in Season 1-7: Mixed-up Dollhouse, he lacked enough strength to lift the bathtub (even with the help of his friends), in this movie, due to his Perfect Groove form, he gains super strength, which lingers on even when he's not transformed.

The reason DJ Catnip's singing voice in the Latin American dub of the movie sounds different than how it sounds like in the series is that in the movie, his singing voice is dubbed by Carlos Vives as opposed to being dubbed by the same one who does his speaking voice (Luis Leonardo Suarez)

When DJ Catnip was severely weakened by the attack, he weakly sang his theme song before MerCat joined in, and after finishing, he passed out, but his strengths (including his groove) were replenished when Gabby and the Gabby Cats sang The Music in You, but this didn't work at first because for it to work, all the Gabby Cats had to sing, and CatRat wasn't singing at first, because he hated that song, it was only when Gabby convinced CatRat to sing along that they replenished DJ Catnip's strengths.

This marks the third time in the franchise that DJ Catnip breakdanced, the first time being in the music video of Dance Like a Gabby Cat and the second time being in Season 3-6: DJ Catnip Gets His Groove Back

The choices Danitiny2013 had for the basis song for the scene where DJ Catnip first thinks he doesn't have what it takes to save the world with his groove, before gaining confidence, are Kion's Lament, and My Own Way (From The Lion Guard), and How Far I'll Go (from Moana) before deciding in How Far I'll Go.

Another notorious Disney Junior tune-inspired song was "Music Gives Me My Strength", sung to the tune of "Your Moment to Shine" from "Sofia the First"

The ending of the final battle against Wizard Sour Note is similar to the scene of MLP's Season 1-2: Friendship Is Magic, Part 2; where the Mane 6 wield the Magic of Friendship for the first time to defeat Nightmare Moon.

The part of the final battle where Wizard Sour Note tries to overpower DJ Catnip's groove power with his magic is a reference to the third Equestria Girls movie where Sunset Shimmer overpowers Midnight Sparkle.

During the final battle, DJ Catnip sings a song called "Music is my Power", which is similar to "Stronger Than You" from Steven Universe in terms of tune and first verse lyrics.

After the battle, the Gabby Cats song a song about the Perfect Groove form which is sung to the tune of "Get That Key (Set the King Free)" from Season 3-2: A Knight's Tail

This is the first time in the Gabby's Dollhouse franchise that an episode or movie starts directly in the Dollhouse in CGI rather than in Gabby's room in Live Action

After the intro, the movie begins inside the Dollhouse with DJ Catnip and MerCat singing a duet called "Always Together, That's Right!" which has the melody of Shawn Mendes' "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back"

After the ending credits sequence with the remix of Dance Like a Gabby Cat, the second half of the credits have the song "Groove with Gabby."

This movie marks the first time DJ Catnip is seen unhooded, revealing he has physic powers that he can't control, which become more controllable when he has his hood on, but it also reveals that DJ Catnip becomes unrecognizable to his friends with his hood down, showing that Gabby and the Gabby Cats are so used to seeing DJ Catnip with his hood on, they can't recognize him with his hood down" add how he (according to Danitiny2013) looks like with his hood down: his inner ears glow different colors according to his emotions (for example: Yellow means Joy, Blue means Sadness, Red means Anger, Pink means Love, Grey means Boredom/Lack of Groove and Rainbow means Activated Groove) (and the more intense the emotion, the more saturated the color of the glow), he has a deep purple gemstone which is only visible when he uses his psychical powers, and a musical note shaped spot on the base of his left ear. This was the first Dreamworks movie to be interactive both in the movie itself and in the preparations for it, because as part of the promotion of the movie, a contest was held in which fans of the show will draw their interpretations of how DJ Catnip looks like with his hood down, in the end, her design won.

The scene where DJ Catnip transforms into his Perfect Groove form was inspired by the transformation sequences on Magical Girl/Boy animes like Pretty Cure.

Like many magical transformations, DJ Catnip's transformation sequence into his Perfect Groove form was triggered by a sentence, that sentence being his motto "When the music in you is unstoppable, anything is possible!"

What abilities does the Perfect Groove give? The Perfect Groove form gives DJ Catnip enhanced speed, strength and stamina. It also gains DJ Catnip, the ability to shoot blasts of MAX Groove Energy. Another ability for the Perfect Groove form is that DJ Catnip gets his rainbow neon wings for flight. Also, in his Perfect Groove form, DJ Catnip's voice gains an echo effect. Another power that DJ Catnip earns while on his Perfect Groove form is the ability to cast shields and other construct made of groove energy. Another power granted by DJ Catnip's Perfect Groove form is healing powers.

Perfect Groove DJ Catnip's theme song has three uses in one scene, is first used when DJ Catnip is told about Perfect Groove by a vision of his mom (A heart spirit is a kind of ghost that allows someone to communicate with those who are far away as opposed to those who died), is immediately heard again as Perfect Groove DJ Catnip's transformation theme and is heard a third time during the battle

When DJ Catnip's transformation into his Perfect Groove form begins, his pawprint flickers in a purple glow, a reference to the Sailor Moon habit of having the transformation item (which is commonly a locket) flash a light to start the transformation

One of DJ Catnip's Perfect Groove attacks include ingulfing himself in Groove Energy to increase his size.

This movie marks the first time DJ Catnip is seen unhooded, revealing he has physic powers that he can't control, which become more controllable when he has his hood on, but it also reveals that DJ Catnip becomes unrecognizable to his friends with his hood down, showing that Gabby and the Gabby Cats are so used to seeing DJ Catnip with his hood on, they can't recognize him with his hood down

The Miracle Groove Light is first used as the Gabby Cats use DJ Catnip's song to revive his strengths, then is used again in his transformation into his Perfect Groove form.

This is the first time that the sentence "When the music in you is unstoppable, anything is possible" is heard outside DJ Catnip's song.

The song that DJ Catnip sings during the final battle on his Perfect Groove form is sung to the tune of his verse of the song sung in Season 3-1: The Dollhouse Hotel. After the "Perfect Groove" song, during battle, DJ Catnip sings a fight reprise of his song "The Music in You", making it the second time "The Music in You" had a reprise, the first time being on Season 3-6: DJ Catnip Gets His Groove Back.

The hardest scene the voice actors had to do was the battle scene because the director won't stop laughing at the nonstop hurricane of puns.

The scene where DJ Catnip talks to the spirit of his mom is a reference to The Lion King, where Simba talks to the spirit of Mufasa, and also a reference to "The Lion Guard: The Return of the Roar," when Kion did the same

This is the first time a Gabby's Dollhouse movie has the series segment "Gabby Cat of The Day," Which is DJ Catnip. This is also the first time in the franchise where both live action AND animation are used in the same scene, as it features the live action debut of Keeley Bumford, because the Cat of the Day segment consists of the Remix of "The Music in You" featuring Keeley Bumford. And also, this is the first time that DJ Catnip felt anger, as when the enemy made fun of his friends, he hissed and began to attack. this also makes the movie the first time DJ Catnip had a hissy fit.

When DJ Catnip is weakened while he's still on his Perfect Groove form, said form begins to flicker slightly as if it was about to turn off, his hoodie flickers quickly between his normal hoodie and his glowing white hoodie his eyes become worried and less glow, the stripes on his legs and tail flicker slightly and the neon rainbow wings begin to fade away, before quickly coming back, all of this is accompanied by off-key beeping sounds.

The reason that DJ Catnip was losing the battle even on his Perfect Groove form was because he was just randomly attacking, it wasn't till MerCat told him to look for the enemy's weak spot that he won the fight.

The movie's final battle is loaded with anime and video game references, like, one of the physical attacks DJ Catnip does is Sonic The Hedgehog's signature move, the "Spin Dash", another reference is during his transformation, which is a reference to magical girl/boy animes such as Pretty Cure, and the final reference was when he does the final attack, where he uses a super powerful groove blast, which share's similarities with Dragon Ball's Goku's trademark final and strongest attack the "Kamehameha"

This is the first time someone else other than DJ Catnip performs DJ Catnip's trademark "Wiggly-Wiggly-Wig" paw bump (also known as his "Wiggly Paw Bump"), also the first time CatRat does it (he didn't want it at first, but he did it because DJ Catnip is his friend)"

DJ Catnip's little sister Utako makes a small cameo in a post credits scene of the movie, foreshadowing her official debut in the next film and her ascension to the main character in the series

This is the first time DJ Catnip does a Hug Attack (which is immediately followed by a tickle attack), and the second time DJ Catnip becomes sad, after Season 3-6: DJ Catnip Gets His Groove Back.

Since the first Gabby's Dollhouse movie was made-for-Netflix, this makes this movie the first Gabby's Dollhouse movie to be released on theaters, even in the Spanish dubs (both the Spain Spanish and the Latin American Spanish dub, the songs remain in English, but with subtitles in Spanish, a reference to Disney Channel musical movies.

Some of the Disney Junior tunes used for the songs of the movie include The Lion Guard's "My Own Way" (used in the scene where DJ Catnip starts his journey to save his friends) and Miles from Tomorrowland's theme song "'Way Out" (used in the scene where DJ Catnip takes flight after discovering his neon rainbow wings, the battle scene starting after the song ends)

Also, Danitiny2013 says that the theatrical release of this movie is preceded by the short "TP Kitty Crafts with Baby Box"

Besides, William Anderson (known for his work on My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic) made most of the score of the movie, but Danitiny2013 helped by making Perfect Groove DJ Catnip's theme song.

Some of the Nickelodeon-based tunes heard in the movie include "Show That I've Got the Groove", which is set to the tune of "What Everybody Wants" from The Loud House's Season 3-21: Really Loud Music

During the final battle of the movie, after hearing the torrent of puns told by DJ Catnip, CatRat comments "Ok, one more annoying music pun and I'm going to lose it"

When DJ Catnip gets ready for the final battle, he says "Time to drop the beat-a", a reference to the intro of the show, specifically the line "DJ Catnip dropping the beat-a"

The melody of the songs from the movie belong to Disney Junior, Cartoon Network, and Nickelodeon and Danitiny2013 made the lyrics.

This is the first time someone else other than Cakey Cat, cries.

This is the first time the line "When the music in you is unstoppable, anything is possible" is spoken by someone else other than DJ Catnip, as it's said by Gabby to urge DJ Catnip not to give up, to remind him about the true power of music

Danitiny2013 also says that she asked Daniel Ingram if she could borrow the melody for some MLP songs for the movie.

One last thing: The pictures hung in the wall of the music room seen in the musical number "DJ's Lament" are scenes from past episodes of the series re-drawn on the style of the animated shorts, the scenes used are: the scene where DJ Catnip uses his tuba playing to help the tub fly back to the bathroom (From Season 1-7: Mixed-Up Dollhouse), the scene from the Birthday Boogie song (From Season 2-8: Pandy's birthday), the scene where everyone plays music together (From Season 2-2: Dollhouse Store Day) and the scene where DJ Catnip gets his groove back (From Season 3-6: DJ Catnip Gets His Groove Back)

Enjoy!
