It's really interesting how everything flattens out in the photo, creating this puzzling optical effect that throws me off at first. The contrast of the roundness of the vaults and the rose window is beautifully done.

i like how the focus isn't on the rose window; in that case it would have just been a photo of someone else's art. now you've made your own interpretation, and it's a very good one. congratulations on the "unknown artists" feature!

In my opinion, the interest of this photo is in the ceiling and the window together. If i would have shot each element separately, I think it wouldnΒ΄t have worked fine.
