A neighbor about 2 miles from me shot one in her back yard as it was going after her livestock. I've never had trouble with them even though I usually have a fair number of horses and am next to an open section (640 acres). Just get bobcats at times but they are such good packrat, rabbit, and gopher killers I don't mind.

Yes, it is hot.. I've been to Colorado Springs, Estes Park and Boulder many times in the past. Lovely mountain country - but only in the summer. I prefer not to have snow around more than 24 hours. I get too cold.

It snows enough to hold overnight about every 2-3 years in my area. [link] We've even had the joy of snow on April first - try to get someone to believe that until it is on the news!
