She dresses quite plainly. The only thing that stands out from her plain wear is her ridiculously long hair and her red cloaks. She always wears a red cloak or anything red whenever she can. One can sometimes see her in her uniform to help out at her best friend’s restaurant at Nomie and in the cafe in Kii. When she works as a Nanny, one will see her in a plain dress and a white apron.

She also dresses in a reserved manner whenever she is her Nanny self anyways, It’s because she is self conscious about her freckles and she likes dressing up in old fashioned and more practical clothing

Personality:
Very family orientated person who tries her best to act motherly despite not having any children of her own or having much of a mother figure of her own

She works hard and is very stubborn when she sets to do something

She is mostly calm, but if you irk her the slightest she will give you three chances to redeem oneself before exploding and giving them a really long lecture

She is easily excited, especially when it comes to children and the idea of a possible marriage candidate (whether it’s her own or another person’s)

She is very organized and likes to maintain a clean environment or a messy organized environment

She’s really obsessed with marriage. Like really obsessed that she carries all formats of proposal around her person all the time.

She daydreams of possible (over the top) relationships, most of them are triggered by reading a book or watching a romance play/movie/ show. She reads a lot of romance books, so sometimes she thinks the things in books are her own experiences or she infers when one person says something they mean the other.

She's a very positive and optimistic person. So don’t be surprised when she tries to cheer up family, friends, and even strangers! She doesn’t like seeing anyone sad and down in the dumps, so of course she wants to help them smile, because she believes a smile is the most beautiful thing about a person; outside the body anyways. Celestine “Celeste” Baissier is adopted and the man who adopted her, Ernesto, doesn't have a lot of money when he adopted her from the streets. Despite the lack of the money, the two lived a very fulfilling life, but Celestine longs a family of her own and the forest Ernesto and her lived didn't have much eligible folk, so Celestine took matters in her own hands and put up an ad on the newspaper and bulletin board for childcare and housework services. The one who responded turned out to be Amarantha's brother, and with that , he paid her a handsome amount of money to travel from the forests of Nomie to Trojan and start her new life.

How to befriend the Nanny/Thief:

Nanny!Celestine is the type of person open to make friends, especially if one loves to gossip or talk about their own love lives (even though she knows everything, she likes to hear it from the person’s perspective). Once befriended expect her to spoil you with homemade foods and handmade crafts, she also expects hello hugs, goodbye hugs, good luck hugs, congratulations hugs- basically hugs.

Thief!Celestine is another story. She is usually a secretive person and if one does catch her during one of her robberies, she tries to get away.
Depending on how she’s feeling, she’ll chat with the owner of the establishment or whoever caught her robbing. As long as one doesn’t talk about what she’s doing is wrong and say the right things, she’ll let them go without doing anything to them... besides giving them a kiss of course.

She also likes the persistent ones, the ones who try to catch her because she loves being chased for once instead of doing the chasing.

How to woo a Lover of Love and Thievery:

Nanny!Celestine: Just give her attention. Also let her know that they are actually interested in her and assure her that they like her and that she’s not annoying. She’s a person who likes constant physical contact of any sort, so don’t be surprised if she’s too clingy in public and in private. Everything about her has aspects of the movie “Ernest and Celestine” a French children's book about a bear named Ernest taking care of Celestine, a young mouse he found in the trash. The book in 2012 was later turned into a animated movie (which is amazing, I totally recommend it to anyone, it’s too adorable for words)

Obviously I got Celestine’s name from both the main characters. Her last name literally means bear in French.

Her history is based on some moments in the movie, like her fear of uncontrolled fire.

Her birthday is a month after the official showing of the movie (December 6, 2012)

Her obsession with marriage was based on Neko-sensei from Princess Tutu (He’s frickin hilarious, I love this anime totes recommend it too, it’s an anime about ballet and it’s amazing! Same director who did Sailor Moon too, so you know it’s good!)

She simply adores musicals

She doesn’t look like it, but she has a high alcohol tolerance. She’s been drinking wine ever since she was little because Ernesto heard it helps with tooth pain and never stopped because booze was something he had more than water

She has this love journal, which is a journal about people’s relationships such as who they are dating, who they like, etc. So yes, she is a stalker in other people’s love lives.

Her best friend, Pookie, and his family supplies her with all sorts of potions and magical items that help her out with her secret occupation.

Since she grew up with her foster father playing all sorts of various instruments as a street performer she learned most of the instruments. The instruments she mostly prefers to play in her free time are the piano, trumpet, melodica, and viola to name a few.

She loves to sing lullabies

She has to keep a part of her hair tied because if she doesn’t she gets dizzy because her hair is too thick and it gets warm quite quickly especially in the summer.

She has crafted wooden dolls of all the villagers and every night she arranges the dolls depending on her research.

Despite her want of a childhood friend romance, she could never see her childhood friend, nicknamed Pookie, as more than a brother figure. That’s why she strongly ships Amarantha with anyone in her group of friends together to get her childhood romance fix.
