The United Atlantic States is a federal parliamentary stratocratic republic, also known as a militaristic republic, led by a military junta. The UAS was formed when military leaders, politicians, scientists, and government officials in Japan, the Philippines, Australia and New Zealand, North America, South America, and Europe met and signed a document that led to the formation of the UAS. The political powers were then given to General Salta Norsoutha, who founded the UAS, and his council of military leaders. Full citizenship can only be gained through military service or community service. The voting franchise is limited to full citizens, and they are the only ones allowed to hold public offices.
Currently, the leader of the Majestic 12, the UAS military junta, is 18 years old Admiral Borealis Mir Norsoutha, Salta's great grandson.
