Hi everyone, how is it going?
This time, I wanted to do a little experiment and compare Disney's Rita with my fanart Rita just for fun. Of course, they are both the very same characters in terms of personality and so on but they have some smaller differences regarding appearance which I wanted to show you here.

Bear in mind, when I started drawing, I used to practice a lot with Disney's style which served as a great inspiration and a useful starting point to get familiar with the drawing process. The more I have drawn her, the more things slightly changed along the way as you can see.

Some differences that stand out:

Hair: Hazel brown hair and ears in the original; I use a more reddish hue.
Eyes: Flat-out black pupils with white reflection dots in the original; I added brown irises to give her eyes a little bit more "life"
Fur: Her fur is a bit darker in the original than in mine, I use a lighter color for that.

Face: While she has some sort of dark mask at eye height in the original, I normally don't add that for some reason.

Eyelashes: Eyelashes tend to be much shorter in the original, I like to play with her lashes every now and then and add different styles (definitely longer)
Make-Up and accessories: Both styles have make-up (eye shadow), the eye shadow in my version is usually a bit brighter and more vibrant
She doesn't wear a collar, necklace or anything similar in the movie, however, I like to give her some jewelry or other accessories every now and then (beauty mark, lipstick, etc...)

Anyway, as I said, it was just more of an experimental drawing to see how I like to draw Rita vs. how she actually looks in the 1988 movie. Sure, there might be some people who like the original better than mine or vice versa but that's fine. Each to their own

(That doesn't mean I don't like the original or something, because that's how I got to know her in the first place and that's how many fans remember her)
