Itβs not that easy to set off hydrogen tanks or gasbags as all that. Remember the Germans ran their airships on hydrogen for many years without mishapβthey even had smoking rooms! It wonβt blow up until you mix it with oxygen.

Firey Airship disasters involving hydrogen inflated vessels have happened a lot more times than most people realize. The Hindenburg was the one that convinced them to quit using hydrogen.
