Description
I wanted to paint a loose scenery image. I actually ended up going loose enough that things started looking dreamy, but I like it. Since my instinct its always to tighten things up this always helps.This is an arid landscape where a predator lives in the rocks consuming whatever life may wander into its path.
Now I have to get the guts to do a painting with 100 percent opacity hardbrush all the way through..that drives me nuts and I can never bring myself to do it haha. SOON.

When you say 100% opacity hardbrush does that include disabling the tablet pressure based opacity?

nope. it means ihave the opacity setting in photoshop at 100% but densetivity on tablet still on.

You've done a great job here. I love the webbing. It brings to mind the spiders we get out here in the desert. as a matter of fact. . . I think i recognize that rock formation.

I have to say...you're really rocking this painterly style. your old more airbrushed style was impressive, but I have to say I'm liking your work a bit more when you loosen up a bit. and I see that you are really trying to improve by doing so (: you're on the right track, keep it up!

I one day want to be able to draw landscapes like this. Mine always turn out so toony, haha.
The textures in this are gorgeous and I like the webs and the hint of blood there- it gives the piece a nice focal point. I also really like the hint of shapes in the sky area.
You have inspired me to try landscapes again.

I really love how you have those two large rocks at the far right. It gives the impression of a dead end or like there's no escape or a way out. The piece looks really awesome so far!
