JayAxer — Preparation: Nix Part 2

Description Nix can always put what she has in her mind down onto paper, canvas, stone, etc. She rarely takes time to prape a layout unless working on a large mural, such as is the case here as she kneels to sketch out a design and some notes. For all her talent, she is not so organized with her tools. She walks on her sketches, shovels aside old canvas and steps over containers of paint to get around her studio. The goal with her is the finished product, then moving on.
Here Nix is in her full outfit. She wears mainly the undergarment (as shown in the previous image) when doing serious painting as to not have flaps of clothing get in the way. This will be coloured.

The tail could use more detail.

Hmm... *Wishes he knew how the heck that worked* *Acts like he knows* uhh... yeeeaaaaahhhh ^^'

Anyway, I've no idea who's right, but I do know that it looks slightly 2D compared to the full-depth feel of the rest. I've been thinking for a while that overlap-lines in the fur might make it more 3Dish... I hope you know what I mean... but it's still good the way it is, yeh? Especially when her fur is white and all...

Her outfit reminds me of ancient China, for some reason. Anyway, fantastic job on the outfit. I'd love to own a paintbrush like hers

Actually, with the little danglies, it looks kinda Native American to me... But I'm actually glad she doesn't wear a kimono... a couple reasons... 1.) Too much is JUST TOO MUCH... I had enough of Naruto fan-stuff for a while, still not really into much but the show... I have a character for my story who wears a kimono and I've been really into kimono for a while... so it's nice to see something elegant that's NOT a kimono, yeah? If she's GOT one, I'd be surprized, but not put off... just like I said... too much is just too much... 2.) The furi (lower sleeve) would get in the way when she 's painting... o_O... unless she had the matching super-long brushes... 3.) ...I don't think her hair would go with a kimono...

In short... I LOVE THE OUTFIT MAN!! IT'S AWESOME!!!

no problem.

Patience and practice, I focus a lot on ink work and line integrity as much as I do with colour, so it comes with time.
Also it helps to have non acidic pens, they bleed less!
