Hey, look, I drew something! This is my new attempt at all-digital drawing. In the past I've had trouble doing initial sketches digitally, so I sketch on paper and then "ink" it digitally. I think I've figured out a way to set up brush settings to emulate sketching with a pencil. I'm amazed at the difference it makes.So what better way to test out my new technique than by drawing a picture of my sexy wife?

Very nice! Digital sketching definitely takes time to get used to, but it's so much more flexible than pencil (what with the Transform editing capabilities and all--assuming you're using a program that has basic Transform Tools). You'll get the hang of it in no time!

Thank you for the compliment! I'm definitely going to play around with it more. As I said in my comment, I was amazed at the difference brush settings can make. I thought they weren't that important because the initial sketch isn't even visible in the final piece, but I was wrong. They changed my sketching ability from unbearably bad to passable.
The program I'm using does have some very, very simple transform functions, most of which can only be applied to an entire layer at once. This is because I drew this on an Android system, so I'm limited to software available for that OS. Maybe someday I'll get something like the Surface Pro that has pressure sensitivity, which I'm sure would help quite a bit.
