Description
This is my submission for Rittenhouse Trading Cards for their new Marvel Comics sketch card line. Even if I don't make anything happen, this piece was a real joy to create. These are all my favorite Marvel characters, and drawing them in my style was such a blast.From left to right, top to bottom (in case you can't tell):

Heheh! I've always wondered why Wolvie smokes and drinks so much. I mean, on the one hand, it's not like he ever has to worry about cirrhosis and cancer, but on the other hand, they expect us to believe that the same guy that can shrug off elephant tranquilizers is gonna get a buzz from a can of beer, even if it IS Canadian? This guy probably gets his morning fix by sticking his hand into a tank of Australian jellyfish.

I haven't studied the Marvel universe much, but I am beginning to research the DC line of superheroes a lot more lately (I think I wanna get "Batman: The Animated Series" on DVD once they release the complete series set in November). Still, I know most of these characters, and as usual, your interpretations of them rock!

I probably shouldn't mention how Howard reminds me of that loathsome Mallard Fillmore, but...
Very nice how you did Thing. You struck a good balance between goofy and ominous. Like some evil mass of chicken stuffing.

Oh man, I despise Mallard Fillmore. Of course, seeing as how Steve Gerber created Howard back around 1974-75 and Fillmore didn't pop his greasy head onto the comics page until the 80's, I think it's safe to say the little bastard ripped Howard off hardcore.
