Description
Old drawing from that I printed out way back in 2003ish and it all stained and gross. I asked her if she still had the original but she doesn't anymore. SO I scanned in the old printed drawing and I restored it on my photoshop. Thought I would share this with you all since this drawing is so sweet; having Sonic's dad with him for comfort.Requests and art trades will eventutally be drawn, just been so busy lately.

This is lovely. I think using photoshop to restore it was a mistake. I recommend using adobe photo restore program to restore photos. The quality for the visuals is very low. Please use a higher resolution, this will help give you high quality visuals. Next time you restore a photo please make sure the edited/restored areas of the photo Loukas close to the original as possible. Thank you. (I'm sorry if any of this cam off rude or snobby. I really am just trying to help. So sorry!) (why does this have to be a minimum of 100 words? That's just too long!)

Sonic: WAAAAAH! Sally doesn't want me anymore!
Jules: It's okay, son. Your girlfriend can break up with you, but I won't. I will always here with you *cuddle Sonic*

Hmm... Somehow, I have the strange feeling it has something to do with his uncle or Sally.

I love this
poor Sonic maybe he got dumped by a girl, or maybe this was before he was his sassy positive self now, and this was a time when he felt a little insecure about himself and his abilities (hey kids feel that at an early age, well most do)

I love this. You capture the emotions so well. Jules is being such a good father and Sonic looks as if he's had a tough time and needs a father's love and understanding. I love it!

Very nice, and a reminder of what the pinheads at Archie Comics refuse to do more often than not.

It sucks that Sega won't allow these kind of things.

As the matter of fact, SEGA rejects my ideas for a new thing for Sonic
and they don't give a $#@% about it. Sorry for my language but I just cannot stand it
for some things making really mad. Poor Sonic. (hugging Sonic in tears) GREAT WORK!

It's not really their choice - I asked Ian about it once, they are actually legally barred from showing Sonic cry or do anything "out of character" by SEGA. As Ian put it, "we aren't allowed to show that, but when we do those are just flukes. We shoot for flukes as lot." So basically their hands are tied and they do their best to make a dynamic character in spite of it.

That sucks. I always figured that Sega was jealous of the character's reputation in a "morals clause" sort of way (where "out of character" = smoking or drinking or engaging in other obvious vices) but that just ties a writer's hands behind his/her back. I don't envy Ian his position given those kind of working conditions.

Yeah it's tough, but given their constraints I've actually found the recent arc to be really interesting! I can't believe it's been so long since we saw Sally in non-roboticized form...
