Darius is a cool name! Though do you pronounce it as "Dar-Ri-Us"? or "Dare-ee-us"?

I always thought it was Dar-ri-us, myself. In the Bible, when the Babylonian kingdom fell and was taken by the Persian and Medes, there was a king called Darius the Mede. He was the one who favoured the prophet Daniel (during the Israelites exile, following their misdeeds against God) - that's the Daniel who spent a night in a lion's den.
