Description I finally made a new ref sheet for my fursona Jayfrost. ^^ I'm much happier with the anatomy on this. You can see that she's scruffy but not long-haired, but that her tail is full and fluffy. I took away her burn scars on her legs because my own scars have faded, but she still has the back scar and the two leg scars.

I gave it no shading, just to make the pattern as clear to see as humanly possible. Just a few points about Jayfrost's design:

 - Her pale muzzle color extends to the edges of her cheek tufts
 - Her cheeks tuft point out, but aren't sharp
 - The tail pattern looks the same on each side of the body, and so do the shoulder and hip V's
 - Her neck and back of neck fur goes the opposite way, and is fairly scruffy
 - She has medium-length scruffy fur, but a very fluffy tail

Hey Jayie! May I use this drawing for the BlogClan Art Collaboration? (Essentially, everyone draws their fursona and then they all get put on one big background.) I understand if you say no, that's perfectly alright, but I figured there was no harm in asking anyway. (By the way, your drawing is beautiful! I love looking at the earlier designs to see how far you've come as an artist.   )

Hi. I'd prefer if you didn't use this - but I have some free time today (aka we're waiting for my grandparents to arrive so we can go have lunch and we're currently shopping and I'm bored) and I'd be happy to draw my fursona now for you. I'm sorry I never replied to the note I was sent about the collar months ago, I meant to reply to it when o had more time and I forgot. Does the pose matter, and is it okay if I shade the image?

Yes, you can definitely make a new drawing of your fursona for the project! Though if you end up not having the time, we'll understand. (No matter what, I don't want to be an inconvenience or cause you stress.  Especially on your graduation weekend!) 

The pose doesn't matter, and you can shade the image! (Hope you have a great lunch with your grandparents!!! )

Ahh sorry for late comment but I love this reference.  Literally your fursona is perfect.

Just a question, what cat breed do you think your fursona looks the most like?  Not based on colors, more on fur and anatomy.  I've found that I've been drawing your fursona a lot lately 'cause of BlogClan stuff, and I'm looking for another reference point.  ^^

And honestly, I have no idea. I know a fair bit about dog breeds, but I really don't know very much about cat breeds, except for the outliers like Munchkins and so on.

Mmm I see.  ^^ I often reference Abyssinians and Russian Blues for your fursona, if you could give me your thoughts on how accurate those represent how you see your fursona as far as anatomy/fur:

I've only just started to get more into cat breeds recently, and it helps me a lot with character design (specifically 'cause my own fursona is based on a purebred).  I'm much more oriented towards dog breeds--I'm a literal fanatic. XD

Gotcha. The Abyssian looks too thin for Jayfrost. The Russian Blue is probably closer, at least in these photos, just in terms of build, but Jayfrost has thicker fur than that. Not completely long (except for her tail, but medium length.
